Activist Agenda
The next UK Bi Activist conference is getting nearer – it’s set for the weekend of 24 / 25 November and will again be held in Manchester.

The programme for the weekend has developed since last issue.  There will be an “activism training” session in organiser skills; presentation of a new resource on LGBT inclusion and issues for local authorities; media training; and more yet to be added to the agenda.  Potential attendees are encouraged to get in touch soon, especially if there are topics or activities not on the agenda already that you would like to tackle.

The event will kick off on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11am and run until Sunday at 5pm in the city centre of Manchester.  Registration will be £10 per person to cover venue hire costs – but note that this doesn’t cover things like food and accommodation.   You can register your interest in taking part via the UK bi activism email list (see listings) or the Facebook group  http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=4081979170

Alternatively get in touch with BCN and we’ll pass your details on.

Your Agenda?
On the cover of every issue of BCN we have our original 1995 title of “Radical Informative Bringing Bisexuals In Touch” (if you’ve ever wondered why our postal address is BM RIBBIT – now you know the answer).

However, in recent times we’ve been a little less strong on tackling the question “what do bisexuals want” – the political dimension of BCN has been about what the activists are up to in running bi groups and events and suchlike.

So this is a challenge to you, our readers: write and tell us what it is that you want.  It might be a snippety soundbite, it might be 1,000 words.  Next issue we kick this theme off with the (abbreviated) transcript of a discussion on the future of the bi movement which was held at BiCon Treforest; but whether or not you were there, we want to hear from you.

As ever, to [email protected] or BM Ribbit, London, WC1N 3XX.
