It’s returning to Leicester and it’s better than London Pride!
BiCon has romped home third in the Pink Paper’s readers awards 2008. In a tightly fought contest where voting from the Manchester gay village seems to have sewn up most of the categories, it came in behind Manchester and Brighton Prides but ahead of London Pride and Glastonbury for “best festival, pride or event”.
The BiCon team are please to announce that this year BiCon returns to Leicester, venue of BiCon 2002. BCN’s Crap Lesbian, Libby, is the PR and Marketing officer this year. She said, “We’re really looking forward to bringing you a great BiCon in 2008. The last time BiCon visited Leicester people were generally pleased with the facilities on offer, and any improvements that were needed have been made! We’ll have a lot of the things you’re used to seeing at BiCon, as well as a few new things too.”
Bookings for the BiCon 2008, which will be held at the University of Leciester from 28th -31st August, will be opening soon. In the mean time you can keep up to date at www.bicon2008.org.uk or www.myspace.com/bicon2008. LiveJournal and Facebook users can also keep up to date there.
