Bi in Berlin?

Ever pop over to Germany? Maybe you’d like to catch up with the German bi scene next time you’re there.

With a bit of forward planning you can get to meet up with some Berlin bisexuals on your next trip to the metropolis. There is a web site (currently only in German) with all the details of events and meetings:

There is a regular social meet-up on the last Thursday of the month in the Sonntags-Club, a LGBT centre/club dating back to GDR days and run by volunteers. It can be found at Greifenhagenerstrasse 28 (nearest station Schönhauser Allee). It’s worth a visit at other times too:

In the summer months (May – September) we meet for an al fresco bi-brunch on 1st or 2nd Sunday of the month at Südblock, a queer friendly café, social centre and restaurant near Kottbusser Tor in Kreuzberg:

Check the Bi Berlin website or e-mail me for details.

In the colder months we are planning to start a Bi Coffee Berlin meet-up on the 2nd Sunday of the month. We are looking for a cosy venue in the LGBT area of the former West Berlin near Nollendorfplatz.

During LGBT Pride Week this entire area turns into a LesBiSchwules Stadtfest (LGBT Pride festival – 16th /17th July 2016). The Bi Berlin group is planning to have a stand there again. The climax of Pride Week is the Christopher Street Day demonstration (next year on 23rd July). We’ll be there with bi flags and our “Love Knows No Gender” banner: see the website

We have also held three Bi Berlin Camps (a kind of unconference where participants decide on topics and workshops on the day) in the Sonntags-Club. A fourth camp, or a bilingual (German/English) BiFest, may be taking place next summer (May/June).

We’d love to see you at one of our events and say “Willkommen in Berlin”!
