The Bi Week Ahead: 5-11 December 2016

Make new bi-mates this week at bi meetups across the country! The internet is great but making bi friends and getting to talk about being bisexual and experiences of biphobia in person has a lot more impact for most people – and there are bi meets in different places around the UK every week to give you the chance.

It’s December and start of a new month, and here’s what’s going on this week:

Tuesday is the night for the “talky space” community centre meeting for Manchester bis, organised by long-running group BiPhoria. 7.30pm sharp start at the LGBT Foundation, 5 Richmond Street – the end nearer Piccadilly. More here.

Also that night Glasgow bisexual group meets at Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), 134 Douglas Street, Glasgow G2 4HF (beside Nando’s in Sauchiehall St) from 7pm. It’s part of BiScotland.

Wednesday, Edinburgh bisexual group meets at at the LGBT Health & Wellbeing Centre at 9 Howe Street from 7pm.

Thursday night sees Nottingham BiTopia meet at the Lord Roberts pub on Broad Street from 7.30pm; look for the table with their rubber duck mascot to find them if you’re new.

Friday it’s back to Manchester for their bi boardgaming night, at the LGBT Foundation on Richmond Street from 730pm. This is the last in the run of the bi boardgaming evening, which may return in 2017 depending how popular it proves – use it or lose it (on the roll of a 20 sided die).

Never been to a bi group before?
