Bi Diary 12-18 Feb 2018

Welcome to this week’s roundup of all that’s going in on Bi Britain!

Monday night in Sheffield there’s a bi meet at Caffelatte, 35 London Road, from 6pm. With the weather as it is this is a drop-in coffee meet but it might wrap up early.

Tuesday night in London, Bisexual Underground meet at The Blue Posts, 81 Newman Street, London. It’s a pub meetup and; find out more here.

Also that night it’s Brum Bi Group, a community-centre space group at the LGBT Centre, 38 Holloway Circus, BirminghamMore on their group and where it meets here.

And that day in Leicester there’s a talk at the university from the organisers of the first Bi Pride (in London 2019). That’s at 4.30pm in the Attenborough Arts Centre, Lancaster Rd.

Wednesday is Valentine’s Day: may your letterbox be troubled by your postie just as much as you hope. On Wednesday during the daytime there’s a bi drop-in space at the Unity Centre in Swansea from 1pm to 4pm. Bring your bi questions! Also in Wales that day in Newport there’s a day of LGBT talks with bi resources to look out for from the Bisexual History Project among the info tables.

Later on Wednesday from 7pm it’s a talky space meeting for Leeds Bi Group at the Mesmac centre, 22/23 Blayds Yard, not far from Leeds central train station. You can read all about Leeds Bi Group on their webpage.

Also on Wednesday evening it’s normally Bristol BiVisible but they’re on hiatus this month. They’ll be back soon and meanwhile there’s more about the group here.

Friday sees Birmingham’s bi yoga group at 5.30pm the LGBT Centre at 38/40 Holloway Circus.

And on Sunday in Manchester it’s the return of Bi Coffee at the Vienna Coffee House, organised by BiPhoria, from 1pm-4pm.  Look for the cuddly lion.

Never been to a bi group before?

  • For the coffee & pub type meetups – like in Nottingham or Brighton – try Hannah’s guide here.
  • Gaming meetups like those in Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham are good for gamers and making casual acquaintance friends, but serious bi talk is tricky while you work out which move your character should make next.
  • For the talky space meetups – like Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh, in community centre spaces – there’s Jen’s guide here.

Here are our UK & Ireland listings of local bi groups and regular meetups.
