When is an academic Journal not a Journal? When it's the Journal of Bisexuality. Described by it's edior Fritz Klein as a "Journalzine", Issue 1 combines academic essays with activists' cultural and historical observations of Bisexuality, providing an accessable hybrid to those interested in Bisexual theorising as well as an educated lay public interested Bisexual history, culture and communities. Issue 1 of Volume 1 is dominated by writers and academics from the USA, and this shows within the list of articles, with pieces on Bisexual Histories in San Fransisco, Bisexual Issues in Sex Therapy, and a History of Bisexuals and Safe Sex in San Fransisco, as wll as an article on Bisexual identites based on a survey taken in the USA.

This is the first Issue in Volume one, and the Journals diversity and success depends upon a diverse range of future contributions. The Journal itself provides and opportunity and space for new visions, and ideas, as well as a space for the broad range of Bisexual communites
that exist or have existed to be documented.

If you have a potential essay or article for submission and would like to discuss it further, you can contact Fritz at Fritzklein@aol.com. Future issues may include special edition on Bisexual men, and one on Bisexual Women.
