Bidentity is the new bi group that has just started up in Derby.  They’re meeting every month on the third Tuesday of the month 6-8pm for a “talky space” type meeting at the LGBT community centre, 7 Bramble Street, Derby DE1 1HU

Bolton Pride is boldly bi

Bolton Pride is a three-day festival which this year runs the 23 – 25 September, and they’ve boldly engaged with the first day being Bi Visibility Day.
On the Friday there’ll be a bi stall in the town square alongside the Pride info stall. Bolton council flew the bi flag there for the first time a year ago.  The stall returns on the Sunday as part of a wider selection of bi stalls.
BiPhoria and one of its volunteers are also shortlisted in categories of the Bolton Pride Awards presented on the 23rd.  Find out more:

Fresh Reading

New book about bi life in the UK Purple Prose was being published as we went to press so it’ll have to wait for the next edition of BCN for review. It’s filling a big gap in the market – the closest thing before was The Bisexual’s Guide to the Universe, an American book where some things were lost in translation.  Pick it up on Amazon at

Edinburgh’s Queer Bi Night

LGBT Centre for Health and Wellbeing hosts a Bi Visibility Day fundraising evening on Friday 23rd September from 6pm.  It’s at Serenity Cafe, 8 Jackson’s Entry, and promises a quiz, music, spoken word performance and vegan-friendly catering.   See
