Down Your Way extra: Local Groups Roundup

Summer 2017

Local news snippets from bi groups around the country – see over the page for listings.

The bi stall at the first Bury LGBT Pride had a small but steady stream of visitors; check BiPhoria’s facebook page for a video of the pride parade complete with pink, purple and blue banners.

The Liverpool Bi+ group hasn’t met in quite a while but will be getting together for Liverpool Pride on July 29th. Meet outside of Central Library at 10.30 to head to St George’s Plateau for the muster point.

York Bi Group held their first meetup in June; there isn’t a regular date yet but watch this space for news. Or the weekly BCN “what’s on” guide on our webpage.

Leeds Bi Group have had a plethora of outreach stalls – taking their bi resources on a Saturday afternoon in the city shopping centre, at York Pride and Harrogate Pride. Harrogate was a bit of a wash-out but York saw lots of stall visitors.
Leeds Pride itself is on August 6th: there’ll be a pre-pride bi brunch at 9am at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

We are sad to report that Newcastle & North East bi group NewBiNE has stopped meeting due to lack of numbers.

After some kerfuffle (no one had booked a bi entry in the Pride in London parade) the big parade day saw bis marching with the BiPride group – which was followed up with a bi picnic on the Sunday.
